Planning for a Career Day Event

What to Expect

Plan

Contact schools in your area to find out if and when they will host a Career Fair.

Refer to our Calendar of Career Fair Events

Know the Event

Each campus may be slightly different in how events are conducted based on staff or facilities.

Be prepared to stay for the entire event. UTI campuses have two class shifts-am and pm- so students typically come through the entire day.

Our students are constantly reminded about professionalism, and we have a dress code at all of our campuses.

A student’s uniform may be based on the program in which they are enrolled. Some campuses also designate the students’ programs and recognitions on their name badges.

If you have an immediate need, some campuses will provide space to interviews there. Speak with a member of the Employment Services team to see if this is an option.

What To Say and Do

Reach Out

Attending campus events is a great way to get in front of students and graduates, and be able to recruit them early.

Remember, technicians are in high demand, so it is important to establish a competitive edge in order to recruit the top candidates.

Many students are open to different opportunities, even if they need to relocate. As a result, there is often an opportunity to promote your work environment as well as the city where you are located to get candidates interested in working for you.
