We love having the chance to meet technicians in the Ford family who carry on their own Ford traditions. Ryan Spurlin, 1st Time Senior Master Technician, attended the Ford Lincoln Top Techs rewards experience in September and shared his inspiration for becoming a Ford technician —his grandfather!
Ryan celebrated his achievement of becoming a 1st Time Senior Master Technician with his wife, Marissa, and the rest of the technicians during the Senior Masters Experience in Huntington Beach, California, a couple of months ago.
The 4-day experience was filled with business meetings and excursions, during which the New Ford Tech team had the opportunity to get to know the technicians and their passion and drive to take the next step in their careers.
Ryan shared that his role model and inspiration for becoming a Ford technician was his grandfather, Herschel Weidner, who worked for Ford Motor Company. He was able to share a picture of a plaque his grandfather received that included a letter from Henry Ford II.
Whether it’s continuing a legacy or following a passion that leads to a career with Ford, it’s always inspiring to see the history and success our technicians find.
